- Almost 18,000 participants joined COMPARE between February and May 2016 when attending their routine blood donation session.
- Over 12,000 participants have attended their second donation visit to date.
- At the second visit, the different methods for measuring haemoglobin levels are being tested, including a non-invasive device and capillary hemocue. A blood sample is also taken and measured using a “gold standard haematology analyser”.
- The non-invasive devices and capillary hemocue will only be available until the 25th September 2016.
